Though located in a star system with a red star, it had rather high temperatures. UNEF had been brought to the planet where it established a temporary base of operations of the same name prior to their redeployment to Paradise. History Several millenia ago, an Elder 'weapon' cooked Camp Alpha, damaging its atmosphere and biosphere by an unspecified amount. The Kristang once established a solar observatory to study this event, though the facility fell into partial disrepair before being repurposed to research avenues of biological warfare. The facility was directed to utilize the primitive Humans as vectors with a prion-based pathogen that was highly lethal to Ruhar. This was happening concurrently to UNEF's training deployment to the world, on nearly the opposite side of the planet. The Mavericks assaulted and destroyed this research facility with the assistance of Verd-kris and Jeraptha, rescuing Keepers of the Faith imprisoned and used as test subjects by the Kristang.
