Condor Type of Ship Dropship Species Thuranin Armament Masers / Point Defense Cannons Notable Features Troop carrier / Defense Shields / Stealth capability Condor dropships are a widely used type of dropship of the Thuranin. The Merry Band of Pirates acquired a Condor when they captured a Thuranin Star Carrier. Joseph Bishop, along with Fal Desai and Samantha Reed, piloted a Condor while searching for a conduit to help save Skippy from the AI-killing worm and search for parts to repair the Dutchman. A pair of Condors were used to collect fuel for a trip back to Earth at a gas giant. They were piloted by Lieutenant Samantha Reed and Captain Porter. Reed's Condor was damaged when the reel that deployed the fuel collection drogue got ripped out of the hull due to mechanical failure. Colonel Bishop was able to reach the Condor and attached a cable to the landing gear that allowed Porter to tow the stricken Condor out of the atmosphere where it was abandoned. The Pirates currently have 1 Condor for use aboard the Dutchman.
