His heritage is connected to Nobility, thus how Skippy the Magnificent gave him the nickname of "Count Chocula". He was in command of the UNEF Mission aboard the Flying Dutchman from the events in Paradise until the events of Mavericks. His command did not extend to situations of a Military nature. At that point, Col. Joseph Bishop was in command. He had a contentious relationship with Joe until they found a mutual respect for each other just before the events of Renegades. During the events of Armageddon, Chotek stayed behind on Avalon and was placed in charge of the beta site. During the events of Brushfire, Chotek eventually returned to Earth and was a UN Diplomatic Attache based in Geneva. He traveled to Paradise to negotiate with Baturnah Logellia on a technology exchange with the Ruhar. He returned to Earth shortly after negotiations to await the Ruhar's decision, but before they decided, the Rindhalu demanded that the Rindhalu Coalition species no longer have any contact with humans.
