The Keepers of the Faith (colloquially known as "Keepers") are humans who refused to surrender to the Ruhar when they took back Paradise, instead preferring to stay loyal to the Kristang. The Kristang eventually evacuated all of the Keepers who wanted to go from Paradise, as UNEF-Paradise and the Ruhar did not want to keep them on the planet. Most of those Keepers were either sold to various clans for use as slaves or animals to hunt for sport, or used for bio-weapons research such as that conducted on Camp Alpha.
