Slithin is Thuranin star system were the second planet is rocky and about the size of Venus. It has a thin atmosphere and is basically a dead world. Plate tectonic activity had ceased there a billion years ago, locking the thick crust into a solid, stable mass. The crust is heavy in metals like iron, making the surface tough and thick. A Thuranin had a base there that was used to develop bioweapons. The base was buried more than a hundred kilometers below the surface. There were self-destruct nukes on the base that would ensure that any hazardous biological materials were eliminated instantly and pose no threat in case of an accidental outbreak. The base was destroyed on the fourth stop of the Merry Band of Pirates' Galactic Kick-Ass tour.[1] |
